I graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in 1986. My first major commission was for Beauport Park House Hotel in Hastings. I created 28 historical portraits and landscapes based on period engravings of the Beauport family and vistas of the old private estate.
My first solo exhibition was in 1989 at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, the second, The Solstice Gallery Edinburgh, and third, The Kelly Gallery Glasgow.
I have been in many joint shows: the Glasgow Art Club, Barbican, National Portrait Gallery, the BP Portrait Award exhibition and most recently at the Bebb Sekers Gallery, Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
I have work in the collections of the Inverness Museum, Ernst and Young Accountants, and Scottish Brewers Plc.
A short resume does little to illuminate the artistic journey which rather ought to be told in paint
